Healthy Drinks

Last weekend, as it was my birthday, was a big departure from my overall healthy eating habits. For a little shindig, I made strawberry cupcakes with a shocking amount of butter (though I only had one myself), cheese straws (puff pastry, Gorgonzola and sesame seeds) and mojitos. Everyone was asking me how the minty-tasting mojitos […]

Healthy Stuffed Peppers

For some reason, I planned two different dinners this week revolving around stuffed vegetables. And yes, i do create a weekly meal plan. I find it oh so very fun. One was quinoa stuffed zucchini (courgettes on this side of the pond) and one was stuffed peppers. I highly recommend both, with the first being […]

Stovetop Mac & Cheese

I LOVE Mac & Cheese. From age 3-10 I’m pretty sure it was the only thing I ate. Drove my babysitter crazy. And even as a self-proclaimed foodie at age 23, I’m not ashamed to say that I still dine from the blue box. I have grown up to the “Three Cheese” and “Thick and […]

Healthy Dining Out Options for the Kiddies

Yesterday, I posted on the importance of finding a healthy option when dining out. While it’s great that many restaurants are now providing healthy meal choices on their menus, sadly it seems that children are being left behind. Most Kids Menus offer fried chicken strips or nuggets with a side of greasy fries and sugar-filled […]
