Celebrate Summer with Homemade Ice Cream

PinExt Celebrate Summer with Homemade Ice Cream

Hey there! Ashley here, the editor of AllFreeCopyCatRecipes.com. To me, nothing says summer quite like soft, yummy, full-of-flavor ice-cream. Growing up, every day from summer camp I would come home and beg Mom for a Strawberry Shortcake Good Humor Bar tucked away in the freezer. For seeking out ice cream, you have a few options: you can drop everything and run to the grocery store, search the neighborhood for the Ice Cream Truck, or  you can take it easy and create your very own. Tart or sweet, fruity or chocolate-flavored, in a bowl or on a stick, you can’t go wrong with these fun homemade ice cream creations. Grab your friends, grab your kids, anyone that loves ice cream and try out these recipes together.

Very cool ideas for a very steamy summer. Part of the fun with homemade treats is that you can control the portion size. Things can be as big, or for the weight wary, as small as you need. Furthermore, I have a niece who is allergic to peanuts so doing sweets from home is a great way to protect her health and stave off any potential allergic reactions.

    • James, thanks so much for stopping by and for the great comment. Working with homemade store-bought treats every day, I definitely agree with you…it’s much easier to customize recipes when you’re making them at home.

One of my favorite things about summer is making frozen desserts. Right now I’m on a popsicle kick — I take all kinds of fruit and blend and pour the mixture into molds. Then my freezer’s stocked for at least a week! I definitely need to add some chocolate to my freezer though with those fudgsicles. Thanks for these recipes.

    • Thanks for the great comment, Kimberly! And thanks so much for stopping by. Popsicles are great…I know I have a few I am featuring in the upcoming weeks on AllFreeCopycatRecipes.com. Stay cool and have a great summer.
