  6. Brenda Isamoyer says

Ok, this is going to sound slightly silly, but my favorite cake is Birthday Cake. No, it’s not the name of a recipe. I just happen to love birthday cake, no matter what kind, no matter who makes it. I don’t know…maybe it’s tied to that much anticipated moment when Frosty the Snowman comes back to life and says, “Happy Birthday!”

In any case, good luck to everyone, and congratulations to the winner. :0)

  7. Teresa Stepnick says

My favorite cake recipe is Cranberry Cake. This is an old recipe that is good anytime of the year with the sweetness of the delicious cranberries. The cake tastes much better if you freeze your cranberries before adding them to the recipe!

  8. becky colquitt says

  11. Julie says

My favorite recipe: Old Fashion Chocolate Cake from a Hershey’s recipe book, with white frosting. Requested a lot and makes great cupcakes too!

  12. Jeri Hastings says

I actually have two favorites. One that my mom had and one that I did.

My mom’s is a pineapple supreme and you coat it with a combination of crushed pineapple, powdered sugar and vanilla. we usually cook it in a bundt pan.

The other is a Strawberry Supreme that I put together from a recipe we received in our Co-Op Newspaper in Georgia when I lived there. It’s multiple layers of strawberry cake with fresh sliced strawberries between layers and a sour cream frosting. Has to be refrigerated to let all the different ingredients settle, but man, when you cut into it, it’s just soooo good.

  13. Christine says

I love Goo Goo Clusters. I remember eating them when I was in high school…many, many years ago.
My favorite cake is Devil’s Food with Chocolate Fudge frosting. 🙂

  14. Kathy says

When we lived in Michigan and would head to Florida for Christmas break … my Dad would stock up on Goo Goo Bars in Ky or TN on the way down AND back! He LOVED them! Brings back fond memories!

  15. AnnaMarie Sanderson says

Actually my favorite cake is Funnel Cake (made with strawberry soda in place of water) with powdered sugar, Fresh strawberries and chocolate Drizzled over it.

  16. Spring Ross says

I found a breakfast cake on pinterest that is my new favorite. It used all the good stuff.
Yellow cake mix, pudding mix, sour cream, and pumpkin…. yum.

  17. Sherry Kutnink says

Better then sex cake-bake a choc cake mix-pour caramel topping over frost with cool whip and sprinke with crushed heath bars YUMMY!

  18. Melanie says

Very fond memories of GooGoo Clusters. Get them cold, pull the marshmellow out – eat it and then eat the chocolate and peanuts. Favorite cake would have to be anything Gooey and Chocolate!

  19. Candace Seibel says

I’m simple…a buttery yellow cake with not-too-sweet chocolate frosting. I mean I like ALL cake – I don’t discriminate, but yellow with chocolate frosting is probably my favorite cake.

  20. sharon kellett says

My favourite cake has to be the sticky ginger cake from the hairy bikers mums know best programme, it is absolutely gorgeous and i have had to make it several times for family for birthday cakes.

  21. Dinky Boozer says

I love them all but I would have to say my favorite would be an applesauce cake with cream cheese icing, so moist & delicious.

  22. Mitzi Hunter says

This could very well become my favorite. Carrot cake is in first place or Italian Cream until I get this made tonight! lol

  23. Lorraine Pounds says

My favorite recipe cake is an Italian Creme cake. I made one every year for my mom’s birthday, she passed away last year, so sadly I won’t be making one next month.

  24. Dianne Kelley says

Golly goodness – my favorite cake recipe. Hmmm, so hard to choose just one. My top THREE favorites are — in no special order of flavor, but in memory they each have a significant place — (1) German Chocolate Cake, (2) Italian Creme Cake, and (3) Coconut Cake (no box mixes….all homemade!)

  25. Pamela Murphy says

My favorite cake is Oatmeal Cake with a broiled coconut frosting but the Gooey Goo Goo cake certainly sounds delicious!

A homemade coconut layer cake, with toasted coconut icing!! Darn, now that I’m thinking about it, I may have to go bake one…and eat some of it!!

  28. Mary Williams says

I recently made a carrot cake and I substituted some soft cooked, mashed pumpkin for the oil and 2 of the 3 eggs. It was amazing. We put cream cheese frosting on it. YUM!!
