It’s that time of year when pumpkin is in season and the stores are finally starting to stock the shelves with canned pumpkin. This is when I stock up for the next year, because typically I am ready to use pumpkin much earlier then when the stores are ready to sell it to me.
This past week I found many pumpkin recipes that I plan to try this year and a few that I already have.
Pumpkin Sandwiches (Gluten Free) – These treats are cream cheese filled and delightful. This would be a great treat to send with your children to their fall party.
Pumpkin Bread Muffins – I have a pumpkin bread recipe that I use frequently this time of year. One of my favorite ways to spruce it up is to utilize it in muffins then top them with cream cheese and candy corn. I bag these up in a festive bag and take them to parties or to teachers as gifts.
Creamy Pumpkin Pasta – Who says that pumpkin is only for desserts and baked goods? This creamy pumpkin pasta is a great way to utilize it in dinner.
Roasted Pumpkin Seeds – This is my all time favorite thing to do after we purchase a pumpkin, roasting the seeds. Between my husband and I the seeds do not last long around our house!
Pumpkin Trifle – I have made this in the past and it is amazing. This will be the recipe that all the guests are impressed by, when actually it is very simple to make. It’s also extremely tasty!
Pumpkin Scones – These scones are said to be the ‘Starbucks’ version. They are on my list to make in the next week or so and I can’t wait to compare! Pair these with pumpkin latte and it’s a tasty morning at my house.
