Favorite classic Christmas cookie has to be cut-out sugar cookies. It’s been a family tradition since my kids were little to make dozens of cut-outs and drive the 80 miles to Gramma’s house where all the cousins are waiting to frost and decorate their little stack of cookies. The pictures I’ve taken over the years are precious to us all, especially the ones with cousin Tommy, who has since died. Merry Christmas everyone!

My favorite classic Christmas cookie has to be the Springerle, a German cookie/biscuit usually only made during the Christmas season. We only have one shop here in our town that makes them. It is a special treat each year to purchase them. We eat and remember how great they were as a child when we had those made by our grandmother.
