Ashley, we could be such good fall friends. A warm drink, a little snack and a roaring fire are essentials in my perfect autumn evening. Apples are so great in the fall. I love to go apple picking at a local orchard to get the apples for my recipes. One thing I’ve always loved to make in the fall is a recipe I learned in middle school for Apple Crumble Pie. It isn’t the healthiest recipe, the main crust ingredient is Crisco. The fried apple recipes look tasty and if the Copycat McDonald’s Fried Apple Pie is as crispy as it looks, it might make it into my apple rotation. Do you have any crispy baked apple treats?
Dear Nicole,
Thanks so much for stopping by! I do love fall recipes and I’m an especially big fan of apples. The Fried Apple Pie recipe is really great. Another recipe I like a lot are these Apple Cider Glazed Donuts (http://www.allfreecopycatrecipes.com/Dessert-Recipes/Apple-Cider-Glazed-Donuts/). Again, thanks for commenting and have a great day!
