We love using the grill in the summer. It creates a great smoky flavor, it allows you to get some fresh air, and it prevents you from using the oven.

This brand new recipe, Cilantro Lime Grilled Shrimp, comes from our friends Kim and Ellen Grauer, also known as the Two Old Crabs. Easy to make, grill them up for your family and enjoy the fresh air. Shrimp recipes have never been so good.
Cilantro Lime Grilled Shrimp
â€¢ 16 large – jumbo shrimp in the shell
â€¢ 3/4 cup olive oil
â€¢ 6 cloves garlic, peeled & left whole
â€¢ 1/3 cup fresh cilantro, chopped
â€¢ 1/4 cup fresh lime juice
â€¢ salt & pepper
â€¢ 2 Tablespoons water
â€¢ 1 Tablespoon honey
â€¢ In a small sautÃ© pan, heat the olive oil on medium-high heat.
â€¢ Add the whole garlic cloves & fry until garlic is golden brown.
â€¢ In blender, combine the garlic, lime juice, water and honey. Blend until a smooth consistency.
â€¢ With the motor running, slowly add 1/2 c. of the garlic infused olive oil. Blend until emulsified.
â€¢ Add 1/4 c. of the cilantro & blend for 5 seconds. Season to taste with salt & pepper.
â€¢ Turn the grill on high.
â€¢ Brush the shrimp (shells on) with the remaining garlic infused olive oil. Season shrimp with salt & pepper.
â€¢ Grill shrimp until they’re pink & the shells become almost crispy, about 2 minutes on each side.
â€¢ Remove the shrimp to a serving platter & immediately drizzle the vinaigrette over each one.
â€¢ Garnish with chopped cilantro & serve immediately, while still hot.
