Experiencing a severe lack of energy lately? Your diet may be to blame. Your body is like an automobile; it needs the proper fuel to make it run smoothly and most efficiently. Individuals who consume greasy burgers, fries and processed foods will feel poorly and find it difficult to handle the physical and emotional rigors of a busy day. Proven boosters such as cinnamon and protein are essential nutrients that are great in cooking and have a number of health benefits attached to them.
What follows are some of the benefits of cinnamon and protein, plus a Cinnamon recipe to jump start your journey to more energy and a better quality of life.
Performance
Athletes realize the health benefits of protein and how it contributes to their recovery and performance. When one consumes protein, it’s broken down into amino acids. This is important for both building muscle and blood. Eating the right amount for your body type and size is important and can help repair tissue and maintain a healthy body.
Illness and Diseases
Eating the proper nutrients can also be an excellent way to ward off illness and diseases and incorporating the right balance is necessary. Cinnamon has anti-inflammatory properties and can aid in reducing inflammation and lessen the risk of diseases and cancers. It has also been shown to regulate blood glucose levels, making it easy for individuals with type 2 diabetes to regulate their blood sugar. For those who are suffering from high cholesterol, consuming one-half teaspoon of this delectable spice each day can lower LDL cholesterol levels.
The Right Protein
This essential nutrient can increase energy, repair the bone, muscle and tissue health of your body and improve the way you function every day. However, it’s important to add the right kind of protein to your diet. This can be found in foods such as salmon, chicken breast, eggs, legumes, cheese, milk and yogurt. Incorporating it into your diet at every meal can keep you feeling healthy and energized throughout your busy day.
