RecipeLion is happy to share with our readers Campbell Soup Co. contribution to the American Heart Association’s “Go Red for Women†movement. As a part of their Address Your Heart Cooking Challenge, celebrity chef Ricahrd Blais and Campbell’s own, Thomas Griffiths, engaged in a friendly food battle to create delicious recipes using heart-healthy products.
Chef Griffiths Mediterranean-inspired recipe, Spiced Chicken with Balsamic-Blueberry Green Been Salad, contains Campbell’s Select Harvest Healthy Request tomato with basil soup. Containing fresh brown rice, the robust spiced chicken is placed atop a bed of green beans and covered in a sweet delectable balsalmic-blueberry dressing. Topped with additional fresh blueberries and homemade croutons, it is simply mouthwatering.
Richard Blais, the winner of Bravo’s Top Chef Allstars, Spicy BouilliaBlias, contains Spicy Hot Low Sodium V8 100% Vegetable juice. Perfect for the health conscious, this wonderful recipe is great for the body and the heart. Made with fresh scallops, shrimp and halibut, this hearty bowl is seasoned with garlic, basil, oregano and thyme for an aromatic delight. Elegant and with loads of flavor, it is irresistible.
The competition can be viewed on the Campbell’s Kitchen Facebook page as a three part web video series, where viewers can vote for their favorite recipe. For every vote through March 1, the company will give $1 dollar to the cause, all the way up to $625,000.
