Today’s Recipe
On the seventh day of our 12 Days of Christmas in July Giveaway, my true love gave to me…these Quick and Easy Shortbread Cookies from Gourmac! INGREDIENTS
- 1/2 cup shortening
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 4 tablespoons confectioners’ sugar
- 2 cups flour
DIRECTIONS
Mix all ingredients together until they become a smooth dough. Shape dough into 1-inch balls and place on ungreased cookie sheet. Dip a cookie stamp into powdered sugar or flour and then press the stamp into a ball of dough. Repeat for each ball. Bake at 350°F for 15-18 minutes.

I don’t like shortbread or sugar cookies at Christmas time, and nothing with frosting on it. But I do love a good ol’fashioned peanut butter cookie!
I don’t like traditional shortbread or sugar cookies with frosting on them. I do however like a good ol’ peanut butter cookie or the occasional gingersnap without frosting on it.
Our favorite Christmas cookie is a fudge cookie with mint chips! When I found the recipe, it called for crushed peppermint and I substituted it with the green mint morsels and we are, well…addicted! lol
I am not a lover of shortbread cookies but I got a daughter who loves them.I am a person who loves anything with marshmellow .
I am a traditionalist, my favorite Cookie is a soft sugar cookie.
