Father’s Day and Flag Day are just about here. It’s the time to spend with your family and have those bbq’s. Summer is the best time and the worst time when it comes to food. People sit out in the sun while enjoying the nice weather. Hot dogs, burgers and brats are juicy as you take that first bite. These aren’t the healthiest of foods for you, especially when you’re eating them all summer long. I for one, love all of the above and it’s very hard for me to eat healthy. Believe it or not there are some healthy foods for this summer’s holidays. Try a new dish. I heard of this strawberry pineapple chicken bites. It sounds a bit odd because you’re adding fruit with chicken, but mmmm does it look delicious! It’s an easy recipe and it can be eaten as an appetizer or a meal.
Instead of having all those hot dogs and hamburgers maybe you can make a chicken fiesta salad. It has chicken and lettuce, which you can’t go wrong with. There are plenty of other healthy recipes you can have this summer. Make Father’s Day and Flag Day a healthy and memorable holiday!
