These recipes are lifesavers. My tastebuds love Starbucks, but my wallet does not. These recipes are so simple that I can even make them in my college dorm room. The snack recipes will be awesome to make ahead and save for finals week when I’m craving something sweet. Now I can make as many venti green tea frappuccinos as my heart desires without breaking the bank.
This is an amazing blog! I always wondered if I could recreate some of the drinks i order from Starbucks. I go there on a day to day basis. I usually get a chai tea latte or frappuccino and I sometimes throw in a cookie or some kind of pastry. I don’t even want to think about the amount of money I am sure that I have spent within the past 8 years that I have been going there. The “Starbucks Chai Tea Latte Copycat” will provide a great way for me to not have to leave my apartment when I am sick, working on homework and not wanting to leave my bed. I will also have to try some of the other recipes too because normally I just don’t want to spend the money to get something I’ll end up not liking. How did you come up with the recipes?
I recently become a coffee drinker due to late nights spent doing homework and early morning classes. My friend introduced me to Starbucks Mocha Frappuccino and I’d been in love every since. It has really become my choice of coffee. It gives me the right amount of sweetness and morning boost. I love to pair it with a warmed cheese danish, but Starbucks are starting to empty my pockets, $8 a day adds up quickly for a venti and a pasty. I can’t wait to try these home copycat recipes. This will surely save me time and money. There’s nothing fun about waiting in a Starbucks line and hoping you get to the front in time, so you won’t be late to your 9 am class!
Really love this article. Has anyone figured out the average price per cup, made at home?
I love this blog post – and my wallet does too!
As much as I love Starbucks beverages, especially in the cold winter months, I do struggle as a diabetic to find “sugar free” versions of these. The infamous Pumpkin Spice Latte, for example, is not available at sugar-free. Any suggestions for lower-sugar alternatives to these recipes? Perhaps substituting unsweetened almond milk (0 grams of sugar) for skim milk (20+ grams of sugar), or using cinnamon and nutmeg in place of the pre-mixed (and high sugar) chi tea syrup?
Thanks for putting these out there! Hope to see a lower sugar versions of these tasty drinks!
This is great; I’ve always loved the Starbucks lemon loaf but buying them by the slice is too pricey for me. Gonna have to give this copycat recipe a try. Even the photo looks like Starbucks’.
