How to Make Quick Easy Chicken Recipes: Wings

February 5, 2010 by FaveHealthyRecipes

This Sunday, the football season draws to a close, with millions upon millions watching the Saints play or Colts, or just watching the commercials. Either way, no big football game is complete without some tasty snacks, and chicken wings are the perfect football snack. With these two recipes, you will have unbelievably tasty wings that will make your football watching experience that much better.

Chicken Wings in Coke

Serves: 12

Cooking Time: 4 hr

  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • garlic salt
  • onion salt
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce

Instructions

1. Preheat oven to 325°F.

2. Place meat in shallow casserole.

3. Sprinkle with garlic and onion salts.

4. Pour mixture of Coke, sugar and soy sauce over all.

5. Bake at 325°F for 3-4 hours or until liquid has evaporated and become sticky.

Hot-n-Easy Chicken Wings

Ingredients

  • 2 pounds disjointed chicken wings
  • 1 gallon vegetable oil
  • 1/4 pound margarine (melted)
  • 1/8 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 8 ounces cayenne pepper sauce

Instructions

1. Deep fry wings in oil until browned at 375°F; watch to prevent wings from burning.

2. Put melted margarine in bowl and add garlic powder and cayenne pepper sauce (plus jalapenos and cayenne powder for “suicide” wings).
3. Place cooked wings in large pan, add sauce, cover and shake.

Blue Cheese Dip

  • 4 ounces crumbled blue cheese
  • 4 ounces sour cream
  • 4 ounces mayonnaise
  • 1/8 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/8 teaspoon onion powder
