Today’s Recipe
On the twelfth day of our 12 Days of Christmas in July Giveaway, my true love gave to me…the “No Peek” Beef Casserole Recipe from our Test Kitchen!
INGREDIENTS
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 2 pounds beef chuck, cut into 1-inch cubes
- 8 ounces white mushrooms, stems trimmed and caps cut into quarters
- ½ cup chopped fresh parsley
- ½ cup red wine or beef broth
- 1 envelope onion soup mix
- 1 can condensed tomato soup
- ½ cup sour cream
- 1 pound wide egg noodles
- ¼ cup minced fresh parsley for garnish
DIRECTIONS
- Place olive oil into a wide (12-inch if possible) non-stick skillet and place over medium high heat.
- Add meat and cook, stirring often, until cubes are browned all over, about 7 minutes.
- Remove meat to the crockpot insert but leave any oil and juices in the pan.
- Add mushrooms and parsley to the pan and cook, stirring, for 3 -4 minutes until browned. Add wine to pan and allow to cook, stirring, for another minute.
- Pour mushrooms and juices into the crockpot and add soup mix and canned soup, stirring to coat the meat with the mixture.
- Cook on high setting for 5 hours – do not open the cooker during this time.
- Stir in the sour cream and serve over cooked noodles, garnish with parsley.

A spray bottle of vinegar and water.
I make sure my kitchen is clean by washing the plates the bowls the spoons left in the sink.
Constantly wiping down the counters . .
use aluminum foil when trimming chicken or other meats.fold foil with raw meat trimmings and store in freezer until trash day
I love the uniqueness f this colored cutting board.
I wash prep plates as I go. No pile of dishes when the meal is cooking. Also, I wipe the areas as I finish a task.
Bleach
I use disinfecting wipes everywhere I can.
I use a lot of natural cleaning products in the kitchen, and wipe everything down with a diluted essential oil so things smell fresh.
I always wipe down stove and counter tops after cooking.
I clean up and wash up as I cook or bake.
I wipe the counters down with Clorox wipes after I clean.
I bleach my dishes and uses disinfecting wipes on surfaces like counters.
Clean as you go and separate prep areas for meat and fish vs. vegetables.
I clean up immediately after prepping foods. Then take a spray of lemon juice to the counters to make sure they’re clean. And I love the smell of lemons in the house.

I use big cutting boards with raised edges and a pour spout under just about everything I make–easier to clean than the counter and keeps it off the floor!

About once a month I bleach clean my cutting boards after scrubbing them in very hot water, then I air dry them in direct sunlight.

I clean my kitchen from the cabinets down to the counter tops by using Lysol hydrogen peroxide wet wipes then wash my kitchen floor with bleach
I can’t stand to leave the dirty dishes lying around- they get rinsed and put in the dishwasher right away.

I use a lot of white vinegar and or tea tree oil spraying them on surfaces and cleaning with them. The tea tree oil kills bacteria.
Spray and wipe counter and cutting boards with disinfectant after any use. Change cutting tools after each use.

I use a lot of antibacterial soap when cleaning in the kitchen.
I do dishes in steps, as I finish one part of a recipe and have a break while something’s cooking, I wash up what I’m not going to use again, to cut down on the after meal clean up.. my last favorite part!
I clean up after each meal and ever so often I take every thing off the cabinet and wipe it off with one of the sanitizing wipes to be sure there are no “hidden” areas I have not cleaned. I usually do the major cleaning in sections so it is not overwhelming. By the way I love the recipe above of the beef with noodles.

I do as much prep work as possible in advance and wash dishes as I go…the less work after the meal is made, the better! I also keep a “garbage bowl” on the counter while I cook to quickly discard trimmings. I find that cleaning in stages works well and lets me enjoy cooking more!
My big secret (which is no secret at all), I clean as I go
I wash up things as I go. I hand wash the bigger items and load the rest into the dishwasher. After I’m done, then I wipe down the counter and stove then sweep the floor.

Clorox wipes or lysol wipes are always within reach i use them daily and clean countertops daily!

I clean in the order i cook as I cook. If i chop up veggies/ingredients I discard immediately. Whenever something goes in the oven or on the stove for a decent period of time i was dishes until done or the next step in my recipe requires. By the time my meal is done so is my kitchen

Seventh Generation wipes!
I use bleach and a disinfectant in my kitchen to disinfect my cutting boards, appliances and countertops and keep my sponges and towels clean too.
I like to clean as I go so that don’t have a pile that needs to be cleaned later and scour the sink and counters when I’m done washing the dishes.
I keep clean by using different cutting boards for different proteins and fruits and veggies. I also use antibacterial wipes several times a day. Thanks!!

I OCCASSIONALLY USE SOME CLOROX IN CLEANING WATER
keep things organized as well as stocked–great cooking pots and pans–clean up using dish soap, bleach needed to sterilize if dealing with raw chicken, vinegar also works great to clean with and wipe down counter tops and a great help to chase cooking odors, paper towels well stocked, plenty of dish rags and dish towels on hand as well. and of coarse using a built in dishwasher for final cleaning of dishes and pots and pans used during food prep.

how do I keep clean in the kitchen? obsessive hand washing
I am always washing my hands.
I use Method cleaning products, the “magic” sponges, and lots of paper towels. And I cut things so that the seeds/stems/etc. go directly onto paper towels or waxed paper to be immediately thrown away. I also like cutting boards I can put in the dishwasher, like the glass one I got on clearance.
Knowing what is required during the cooking process so unnecessary utensils aren’t needed, staying organized and clean & wipe as you cook

We follow this simple rule for keeping our kitchen (and house) clean, which my parents instilled in me as a kid: “Clean As You Go”

I keep a spray bottle filled with orange peel-infused vinegar to wipe down everything safely.
I clean and wipe down counters as I’m cooking. That way there’s no chance of cross contamination.
I put things away immediately after I am done with them, I am constantly wiping down anything that has food or such on, and just keep everything neat, clean, and organized at all times.
I have a bowl for discarded food trimmings and keep a clean, wet cloth to mop up spills.

How do you keep clean in the kitchen?
I always cook in the nude, then all you have to do is hose me down after I am finished cooking.
I like to stay clean in the kitchen by cleaning as I cook and but using clorox cleanup!
Clean as you go. If you take it out, put it away. If you use it, wash it. If it’s empty, trash it.
I like to wash and clean up as I cook so that when I’m
done, I can relax and enjoy my meal.
At the cost of sounding redundant given the comments above, I also find that cleaning as I go is the best approach instead of letting it all pile up and the spills dry up. I use natural cleaning agents like vinegar in water with a few drops of essential oil and voila- the kitchen is as spick and span as it was before I start to cook!

Make sure your sink is clear every night
Simple – clean as you go. Don’t ever let anything stack up and it becomes a breeze. I have no problem keeping a basin of water in the sink and washing the utensils as I use them

I treat meat like it is fully contaminated! A microbiologist and my own experience proves this to be sad but true. I also soak all meat in cold water with 1 cup kosher salt for 20 minutes then rinse and cook well done, never never red.

I am a fanatic about clean. I prepare to have as little mess as possible. I always keep the counters and surfaces clean. I always clean the dishes.
I use a lot of diluted bleach to spray down my counters and even putting it in the dishwasher and washing down the sinks with it
Always clean as I go when cooking, use lots of vinegar and water, and, after the meal, countertops, microwave, stove, and refrigerator all get wipe off. If any food dropped on floor, use small broom and dust pan to get it up.
We clean as we go, and keep our vegetable and meat cutting areas separate.
I always have a bowl of hot soapy water in the sink to wash my hands between cutting veggies or meat. It keeps me from contaminating the faucet with chicken or other meat juices . I also add a few drops of bleach to the water . In case of a drip somewhere , I have a bottle of Clorox Clean Up close at hand.
I clean as I mess up…….I keep hot clean dish water as I am cooking….I only use Dawn Dish Soap……I believe in keeping everything wiped clean almost daily…..my kids and nieces call me OCD!!…..if I am….I don’t know it!….I just believe in being CLEAN!
