Today’s Recipe : Lemon Crinkle Cookies

On the seventh day of our 12 Days of Christmas Giveaway, my true love gave to me…this Lemon Crinkle Cookies recipe inspired by StarPack and straight from our test kitchen!
Lemon Crinkle Cookies

INGREDIENTS

  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon very finely grated lemon zest
  • 1 1/2 teaspoon lemon juice
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 1/2 cup flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/8 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar

    If there’s cinnamon, I’m there. So naturally, I like snickerdoodles. But I also love cinnamon in oatmeal raisin, chocolate chip & apple pie cookies 🙂 It’s tough to decide on a favorite when it comes to cookies!

    My favorite cookies is my Husband’s grandmothers Fruit and Nut Cookie. When she was living and her eye sight was failing, you had to be very careful ratings these cookies. They always had stray shells from the Black walnut that she picked and used. Good memories

    I love Nut Butter Balls! It is a very “short” cookie with only 1/2 cup sugar and lots of butter. Add in those pecans and oh, my!

    My all time favorite is a cut out sugar with a pecan or walnut in the middle and colored sprinkles. I use a recipe I found on a can of shortening when I was a teenager.
