Top 5 RecipeChatter Posts from 2013 + Giveaway

January 6, 2014 by RecipeLion 2 Comments

Now that 2013 is officially over, we’re looking back at which posts were our most popular of the year! This collection of reader favorite recipes and round-ups includes everything from copycat restaurant recipes to easy recipes with Bisquick and more.

Pizza Roll-Ups

1. Pizza Roll Ups

Just one look at these Pizza Roll Ups are enough to make you drool, and once you taste them you’ll never want to order takeout again. This reader favorite recipe uses refrigerated pizza dough and just a few other ingredients to create a delicious, cheesy meal. Feel free to add in your favorite pizza toppings to make these all your own.

No Bake Pudding Bars

2. No Bake Pudding Bars

Is there a better combination than peanut butter and chocolate? We’ve got nothing. It’s no wonder these No Bake Pudding Bars made it into our top posts of 2013 – the combination of peanut butter and chocolate is always a winner, but this easy dessert adds another flavor element that sends it over the edge: vanilla pudding. The bottom layer is a buttery, crunchy layer made from rice krispies, cornflakes, and peanut butter. The middle layer is made from instant vanilla pudding to give it that rich and creamy flavor that we love. Lastly, the bar is topped with melted chocolate and cooled so everything sets into one decadent dessert.

8 Easy Recipes with Bisquick3. 8 Easy Recipes with Bisquick

Let’s be honest, in life we all love to take shortcuts. That’s why these 8 Easy Recipes with Bisquick are among some of our favorite, like this John Wayne Casserole. Bisquick Baking Mix isn’t just for making pancakes, you can use it to make everything from breakfast casseroles to Red Lobster copycat Cheddar Bay Biscuits.

Gooey Apple Pull-Apart Bread

4. Gooey Apple Pull-Apart Bread

When this pull-apart bread came out of the test kitchen oven, it was as good as gone in a matter of minutes. With just 5 basic ingredients plus a brown sugar glaze, this delectable treat is the perfect quick fix to throw together for dessert, a snack or even breakfast! It uses frozen dinner rolls to cut down on time.

Stupid Chicken5. Stupid Chicken

This recipe is much more than a silly name. It’s called Stupid Chicken because it’s stupidly easy to make, but deciding to give this recipe is one of the smartest things you can do! It’s made in the slow cooker, so it’s as easy as dumping the ingredients in and letting the machine do the work for you.

I read the recipe for stupid chicken and I have one even easier. I just put (boneless & skinless)6 thighs, or sometimes I use 6 or 8 chicken breast. in the crock pot and pour one 24 oz. jar of chunky salsa over the chicken (your choice medium or hot) let cook on low for 6-8 hrs.
Then I just shred the chicken up in the salsa and mix into a cooked box of any brand of seasoned yellow rice. Sprinkle some shredded cheese of choice and broil just long enough to bubble up the cheese. I serve this with sour cream on the side. We love it
