Do you ever get bored with cooking the same meals over and over again? I know I do. There’s only so many times I can eat goulash or spaghetti. I never thought I’d say that, especially about spaghetti, but it’s true. I like cooking new things. Granted, I’m not the best or most experienced cook but I’m learning. If I want to be a good cook or a satisfied eater, I have to experiment with all kinds of dinner recipes. I can’t tell you how many times AllFreeCasseroleRecipes.com has saved me from cooking another bland and boring meal.
I was browsing AllFreeCasseroleRecipes.com the other day looking for new recipes to try and stumbled across quite a few unconventional and unexpected casserole recipes. They were casseroles of foods that I didn’t even know could be made into casseroles, let alone taste and look delicious. So now that I’ve found these casserole recipe gems, I’d like to share them with you.
I would never think of making a microwave casserole. I always thought that casseroles went hand-in-hand with ovens. There are a few of these unconventional casserole recipes that I’m excited to try. Two microwave casseroles I’m dying to try are actually mug cake recipes. Basically, you put all of the ingredients into a single mug and pop it in the microwave. How does Mug Banana Bread for breakfast sound?
Or how about Chocolate Nutella 2 Minute Mug Cake for dessert?
If these recipes don’t make your mouth water, I don’t know what will. I mean, just look at them.
Also take a look at this Cereal Bowl Vegetable Frittata recipe. Some mornings I wake up wishing that I could make myself a quick fancy meal just for myself but most of the recipes I know make enough for a table full of people. This frittata recipe is perfect because it makes just one serving and has two of my favorite vegetables: spinach and plum tomatoes.
Speaking of breakfast casseroles, I found two other unexpected casserole recipes. Baked Eggvocado sounds a little strange but actually tastes really good. Plus, it’s super easy to make because it’s just a cracked egg sitting in an avocado boat. Then there’s the Breakfast Bruschetta recipe that’s made with tomatoes and hummus. I would never have thought to make a breakfast casserole recipe that’s inspired by a popular appetizer
Moving onto main dish casseroles, there are two that I found that made me do a double take. Picture this: a Chili Cheese Dog Casserole and a Green Chile Cheeseburger French Fry Casserole. Actually, better yet, just take a look at the pictures below:
Both are greasy, cheesy favorites thrown into a casserole and baked to perfection. I’d imagine that they make pretty great party food. My stomach is grumbling just looking at them.
